1. Who we are

For UK GDPR and, where it applies, the EU GDPR, Digibiz is the controller of personal data collected through this website and our enquiry forms, and a processor of client data we handle inside projects (websites, ads accounts, software) under the client’s instructions.

2. What we collect

Enquiry and quote forms: name, email, phone, service of interest, message and technical metadata (time, IP address, user agent) needed to receive and reply to the request.

Client work: account access, analytics, ads pixels, content, invoices and project files you give us, plus login details for the Digibiz client portal.

Automatically: cookies and similar tech for the site to function, remember preferences, measure traffic (for example analytics) and, if you agree or it is otherwise lawful, advertising measurement.

3. Why we use it (lawful bases)

Contract and pre-contract steps: to quote, deliver websites, ads, SEO, branding, software and cyber security, and to run the client portal.

Legitimate interests: to secure the site, prevent abuse, improve services, keep business records, and contact you about a request you made.

Consent: non-essential cookies, marketing emails you opt into, and optional pixels where consent is required in your region.

Legal obligation: tax, accounting, and responding to lawful requests.

4. Marketing

We do not sell your data. We may email you about Digibiz services if you asked us to, or if you are an existing client and the law allows. You can opt out any time via the email or by writing to info@digibiz.uk.

5. Ads, analytics and pixels

If we run Meta, Google or similar ads for you, those platforms process data under their terms. On our own marketing site we may use analytics and advertising cookies. You can control cookies in your browser. Where a consent banner is shown, non-essential tags wait for your choice.

6. Client portal and project data

Portal accounts are for authorised client and staff users. Keep passwords confidential. We use portal and hosting providers (including Hostinger) to store files and messages. You remain responsible for the lawfulness of customer data you upload into tools we build or manage for you.

7. Sharing

We share data with hosting, email, payment, analytics, advertising and IT suppliers only as needed to run Digibiz, and with professional advisers or authorities when the law requires. We do not share enquiry data with random third-party “partners” for their marketing.

8. International transfers

We work worldwide. Data may be stored or accessed in the UK, EEA or other countries where our suppliers or your project hosting sits. Where a transfer needs safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses), we use them.

9. Retention

Enquiries: kept as long as needed to handle the request and for a reasonable period of business records (typically up to 6 years for contracts and invoices). Cookies follow their stated life. Portal and project data follow the client agreement, then deletion or return on request where the law allows.

10. Security

We use access control, updates, backups and hosting security appropriate to a digital agency. No method is perfect. Tell us promptly at info@digibiz.uk if you think an account or form has been misused.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local regulator. Email info@digibiz.uk to exercise rights. We may need to verify who you are.

12. Children

Our services are for businesses, not for children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

13. Third-party sites

Links to Shopify, Meta, Google, Hostinger or other sites are outside this policy. Read their notices before you use them.

14. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you have seen the new version.
